A Handfull of Art

Had made this painting a while ago... I was just wondering what to make as the next one in line when my eyes fell on my wallet and voila, I knew what would I be making on my canvas  :) Mystic beauty This was amongst the fisrt of my attempts to try my hand on canvas paintings. This was done with acrylic paints and I still haven't had a chance to try on the oil paintings, but I'm happier with acrylic paints :) and I love her eyes.... reminds me of cindrella's eyes.. the ever lovely and beautiful one's :) ... So.. I have been bitten by this bug called 'Quilling'... Quilling or paper filigree is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. The paper is wound around a quill to create a basic coil shape. The paper is then glued at the tip and these shaped coils are arranged to form flowers, leaves, and various ornamental patterns similar to ironwork. and it's soooper dooper fun, initially one needs to concentrate on rolling the paper in the right form, but then with practice, you can nail it off.... Quilled paper mobile Here's one which I created, I always wanted to have a paper mobile which is done with the tissue paper and looks amazing with it's all gorgeous colours, but decided to do my own version of a quilled one..
