Finally ... I started it.. :)

Hi Friends...

I'm sure you  must be surprised to see the topic of this post... surprised as I am..
finally.. after much coaxing .. I finally decided to make a scrapbook album for myself :)
Actually.. I had been wanting to do this from a long long time.. Since April .. but I coudnt bring the right kind of thoughts I wanted in my Album.. but now I have...

I have always loved Vector shapes for anything and drawing them used to be biggest hobby in my College.. you might want to check my notebooks.. not a page corner without a drawing there was... Somehow When I came across the Lulupu's challenge for this month for making a layout.. I had to get started and finally I decided on making something handmade in my album..
So here's what I made with a Gel pen and then colored it off. Coloring is something I had not tried before in these kinds of drawings, but then I didn't wanted the usual black color to dominate like I had always kept my earlier drawings :)

This is the scrapbook page I created.
My Fav month for 2012 was the starting month of the Year.. January... for I got married on 15th Jan.. to someone who is soo special and is my life.... :)

Hence I wanted my album to be very special one too :)

Here's a closeup of the Paisley design that I have made :) It's done first with a Black Gel pen and then more black was added around to make the design thicker. After that the colors were filled in.

Here's a complete view of the page that I made :)

Hope you all liked it... linking it to the Lulupu's challenge.

    1. Hey Gowri :)

yeah, Paisley (also called Mango pattern) is pretty common, it's been in Indian tradition for long.. fabrics, mehendi designs.... :)
Thanks for admiring.. well, I drew this kind of drawing almost after 6-7 years... it took me about 2 hours to make it off... I'm gonna practice more of this.. maybe the next time the time will be 1 hour..

      Thanks for stopping by!

A Baby album

A few months as (yes months, precisely in March??) I got a call from a friend of mine and she wanted me to make a baby album for her daughter. It was supposed to have a lot of memories from her first year and her first year keepsake album too and I must say, I was pretty excited to start on the same. But things got tumbled up and I ended up making the album in August( I know that's a lot of delay, but with me not well and stopping all my crafty adventures for a while, there was no choice ) and one good news is... I finally bought a BIGSHOT, the die cutting Machine :) and I'm sooper happy. Now i'm embarking on the journey to collect all my favourite dies :) Finally, I completed the album before I embarked on my long due vacation back to both my homes, I delivered it and I'm sooper happy since it has been loved and liked by all :) I have made a lot of flowers for this album as the album is all girlish and little girls love flowers :) I had a lot of them punched an
