Lovey Dovey Birdies Nest..a Celebration of Love..

Hello People, I have always been fascinated by birds and always had wanted one. I remember one of my friends in Bangalore having a parrot and 2 rats as her pets... :D It was fun playing with them.... but it was long ago... Nowadays, I kind of remember them and want to have one, but then it's kind of a battle since my husband wants a dog... he misses his Labrador soo much  and I'm so damm scared of Dogs that I can even re-route myself is a stray one is coming from the other end :D None the less, if not the birds, atleast I made myself a bird cage and decorated it with flowers, I even have a pair dove hanging inside...They say that the most Lovable of all the birds is the Dove.. they represent love purely :) Here's what I made :) I call it Lovey Dovey Birdies nest :) it's called " A celebration of Love"... e  I also have included a message " LOVE LIVES HERE" at the other end of the Birds Cage.. Here's the close up of the fl

Together Forever :)

Hello People, I made a side step card this time, had seen it by a couple of blogger friends and thought of trying it out. I'm also quite impressed by Doodling and I didnt knew till 6 years back that it's called doodling, for it had been my favorite timepass when I was doing my masters, Only the clear skies of my institute know's how many evenings I had spent on the terrace with my drawing book in my hand with a black gel pen. Here's a  a peek of what I used to do there :)  exactly 6 years before... ok okay.. 4 days short of  6 years if I go by the date on the drawing!! Here's what I made with my side step card. :) I love doodling and since love is in the air... well for some hopeless people, it always is.. like me :D ( no doubt most of my creations end up getting into the love category )  ;) As usual I ended up mixing the stamp with my handwriting, the 'together' and 'for life' is handwritten... okay okay, no photography trick he

Cascading card ! Love is in the air..

Hello People, I saw a cascading card on the website and did a lot of googling to find out the procedure to make it and found it on Dr. Sonia's site.. :) Here's what I made with my cascading card.. I decided to go floral with this card and have used a lot of flower embellishments in this one :) The netted structure in the pink is hand-woven and yes... it took a lot of time to weave this one :D I added a cute rosette at the back of the card .. There's a ' be mine' tag that I made along with this card. Basically anytthing can be written onto the card :) I hope you all liked it and a big thanks to Sonia for the tutorial :) Linking it to the following challenges. 1)  http://kalalayaa.blogspot.in/2013/01/challenge11-fancy-folds-with-love-theme.html PS: If these posts inspire you to bring out the creative best in you, that would be the bestest thing that will happened to you, and I'll be flattered. Love Mail Box

Hi Crafty People, I'm back again with a Love mail box. It had been long in my mind, and had seen it about 2 weeks ago on pinterest and had loved it. I dont remember the board where I saw it, but it had been on my to do list sincee then. You know, everytime I see something good, I note it down and look down upon the instructions on the net to find myself one and make it. I found the instructions here  http://www.simplymodernmom.com/2010/01/special-delivery-paper-mailbox-tutorial-and-pattern/ but I did some alterations to suit my dimensions. Here's what I made:  I had made an prima rose flower following a tutorial, it's the pink one there, I agree that it's not very pretty so have decided to make more of these till i get perfection :) I have made 2 mini love cards along with it to be kept inside the mail box ! This is how the mailbox looks like when completely closed.. I have handwritten the Love sentiment on the flag and have outlined it with si
