A Handfull of Art

Hello People, Today's project is something which had been sitting there on my desk from a long time and was waiting for a magnet to bound it with somewhere it now belongs to.. yes.. It's happily is attached to my fridge now. I had a fun time making this madhubani inspired magnet, for I love Madhubani paintings and smtimes I do paint them. My earlier attempt at it can be seen here . I have a fetish of collecting magnets as souvenirs as they are one of the best way to remember the places you have been to. I have many from my earlier trip to the US :) I remember the first thing in the souvenirs shop would be Magnets I would look for :) Here's what I made :) Did you check out the madhubani magnet here, well, this is how my fridge looks now.. Hello Crafty folks, I have been making a couple cards recently, but didnt not had time to post them up on the blog.. So it's kind of a backlog for them.. but here's a quick post for 2 of my cards that I did recently.. Do tell me how they look !!! :) This is how it looks when it opens up Here's another one !! Now this one has a lovely splash of colors !!! I loved seeing soo many colors, all at the same time and it very well compliments Lulupu's current theme of a color splash.. the colors here would be Yellow, Orange, Green, Purple, Blue and white... Also the Blue rose flower is created using the heart shaped punch and from Pritesh's turorial abou creating a rose flower from a heart shaped punch...  I quite liked the way this one turned out to be!! Hello crafty people, Wow.. Valentines.. smtimes gives jitters ... it's a lovely feeling.. although I really do not believe in the concept of celebrating love especially more on one day.. coz for me.. love is life.. and that when you celebrate and live life each day.. we also live love each day... I made a new 'Love is' box for one of my friends, to be presented to his wife this Valentines Day... I'm soo much in love and awe with the love is box, maybe because it gives me a chance to try my hand at drawing once again for I love love love making the 'Love is' comic strip... Here's what I made... Here are the roses that sit quite nicely on the top of the lid.. I loved the way the purple flower came out to be... had it distressed with some fired brick distress ink and it looks wonderful.... and this was my first attempt at making a rose... :) Here's how the box looks like.... complete in purple and pink.. Hello People, Probably every crafty creature has to get some Management done at some point, with the ever increasing craft supplies, it was getting too idiotic to look out for things when they were piled up!!! So I decided to make a desk caddy for myself :D Here's what I made.. it's kind of a very simple one... I took a Ivory sheet in white and marked it to my measurements.. I have about 5 compartments in the back and 6 in the front. The good thing is, one can size each compartment to suit one's needs. I have made the compartments by inserting cardstock in the middle of the box as and where I needed it :) I made the back box first and then made the front smaller one and adhered them together and then decorated them. The mathematics was pretty simple as I knew what all I wanted to store.. but I guess, this is gonna be short too once I get more stuff.... Lord.. save me.. :D Here's an arial view of the caddy.. Hello People, I have been crazy about the special fold cards and I loved the idea of a Napkin fold card. It just drives one with as awesome feeling to having unfold it.... and it looks sooper cool too when it opens up to be a 12*12 from a 6*6 one :) Here's what I made with my Napkin Fold card :) I loved the way the holder for it came out to be. I saw this on Indira's blog about how to hold the card together !!! Another shot of the card.. This is how it opens up to be.. I have made 4 small pockets for 4 circular shaped inserts and have stamped messages on them.. I hope you liked my take on this one....
