All things handmade!!!

I knw this blog is all about handmade stuff... but this post is 100% truly handmade stuff.. i.e everything is handmade in this blog(except the wire and green tape used for the stems of the flowers)

I found these cute flowers on http://foldingtrees.com and thought of making some for my home decor, and they turned out to be pretty good. I havent made a lot of them and I'm still in the process of making many of these to place all over (for they look lovely and charismatic) and better then the one's found in the markets.. and what more.... they are lovingly and painstakingly make by self !!!

I'm quite actually in love with the blue bunch of flowers for they are really soothing to the eyes :)
The vase here is made out of a Real fruit juice bottle :D and is quite wobbly dobbly at present and I'm thinking of putting some sand in there to make it sturdy. I have wrapped up the empty juice can in a handmade paper and it has quite nice cute little handmade leaves on it in golden finish and I coudnt make out at first if it was  real or not.. It looks quite nice and in place... :)

So I have embarked on a mission to make out a complete Blue bunch of flowers and place them separately in one place and I'm sure they are gonna look awesome!!!!
Here's the collection I have made till now...

Here's another picture of the vase with the flowers in there.. have played around with the picture in picasa with the colors... and I love the effect :)

Hope to keep on making interesting things to fill up my home with !!!
Happy Arting and Crafting  :D

Hook on to the Explosion Boxes.. this time it's a carousel one !!!

Hi Crafty People..

I'm certainly hooked on to making Explosion Boxes.. they are sooper dooper fun to make and there is such a lot of craziness in making them, a part of this craziness comes from the fact that, it's fun to watch the recipients reactions (of course, if you personally give it to them).. they are always amazing :)

This time around, I experimented by Making a carousel explosion box since I wanted to make one of each shape and size.

Here is what I made !!!
A Carousel Shaped Explosion Box with a Love is.. Card..
Isnt it cute.. I even have a Love is.. flag at the top :)

Here's what the box looks like when opened. Also seen here is the Card.. it's a simple card .. yet is very elegant to look at :)

A complete view of the explosion box.
It has places for 6 TAGS where wordings can be placed. as well as 6 passport size pics can be attached as shown on one flag (b/w this is my brother's pic when he was a kid and dunno why .. but I have always loved this one.. f…

Gond painting

I have been eyeing the gond art from a very long time now, the only thing pulling me down from trying this amazing art form was time and now that I have ample of it, I loved making this beauty.

I have tried my hand at making madhubani painting earlier and a preview of the madhubani inspired magnets can be viewed here.

Gond paintings are native to gond tribal community which hails mainly from the areas in central India. India has such rich and amazing forms of art that it's truly wonderful to see and try some of them.

Gond paintings are amazing to look at, truly intricate yet very very simple. The designs are basically evolved from everyday life yet the intricate dots, dashes and lines which fill up these everyday life inspired art form are amazing to fill up.

Here's what I made

Made on Stretched canvas with Acrylic paints.

I hope you all liked my humble attempt at making these. Custom orders for making these paintings are open. I will be happy to make one for you. For details,…
