'Love is' Explosion Box

Hello crafty people,

Wow.. Valentines.. smtimes gives jitters ... it's a lovely feeling.. although I really do not believe in the concept of celebrating love especially more on one day.. coz for me.. love is life.. and that when you celebrate and live life each day.. we also live love each day...

I made a new 'Love is' box for one of my friends, to be presented to his wife this Valentines Day... I'm soo much in love and awe with the love is box, maybe because it gives me a chance to try my hand at drawing once again for I love love love making the 'Love is' comic strip...
Here's what I made...

Here are the roses that sit quite nicely on the top of the lid..
I loved the way the purple flower came out to be... had it distressed with some fired brick distress ink and it looks wonderful.... and this was my first attempt at making a rose... :)

Here's how the box looks like.... complete in purple and pink..

Tada.... it opens up to revel 12 flaps... 6 on 6.. I have made the Love is strip on the below one's... each one was fun making...

A beautiful quilled flower sits in the center of the box.. I loved the distressing technique on the flower to give it be a bit of off color..
It sure adds up quite splashy and full of colors... Pink, purple, yellow, blue, green, red... awesome.. and the yellow adds up quite a flavor.. isnt it??

Here's a picture of the complete creation...

Some more pics

I hope you all liked it.. for .. as always.. i loved making this one... :)
